Training Knives
A fundamental part of the art of unarmed combat is learning how to defend yourself against a knife attack.
Wooden, rubber and poly propylene training knives are mostly used for unarmed combat self defence training for obvious safety reasons.
The rubber training knives maybe made of either flexible or solid rubber. Even the flexible rubber training knives do not flop about like a cheap rubber knife in a toy store so it always best to use the proper self defence rubber training knives.
The traditional wooden training knives or Tanto in Japanese have a very realistic feel for training purposes but the rubber knives do look a lot more like a real knife.
Combat training knives are a great idea as they provide very practical and realistic martial arts and self defence training without suffering severe injury from a real knife.
For self defence demonstration purposes or for stage performances the rubber knives definitely look the more realistic. For training purposes it really gets down to personal choice and preferences as all the training knives at Universal Self Defence are well designed and perform as they should during unarmed combat self defence training against weapons.
So whether you need a combat training knife for a demonstration, stage performance or for self defence training purposes then we have the right training knife for you!
